          Barcelona International Boat Show

          24-29/September

          Port Vell. 52nd event

The Barcelona International Boat Show was a

catalyst for business activity in the market of

nautical products, promoting new sales and

business meetings. The fact that the event

coincided with the celebration of La Mercè

festivities and the Mediterranean Tall Ships

Regatta once again turned Barcelona into the

          capital of nautical activities.

Most of the exhibitors valued their participation

very positively, and trusted that many of the

operations begun during the event would be

closed in the following months. There was also a

significant attendance of foreign visitors with high

purchasing power, mostly French, English, German

and Russian, which was one of the main goals this

year, as a way of counteracting the apathy of the

          domestic market.

One of the main features of the Barcelona

International Boat Show is the loyalty of its

          visitors, whether they’re professional, amateur

or general public. The show, which hosted 236

exhibiting brands and received more than 53,000

visitors, successfully confirmed its double status,

both as a large commercial showcase and as

a meeting forum for the sector of sports and

          recreational boats in Spain.

Over six days, the event presented 650

          novelties, including boats, accessories, products

and nautical services, more than 60 of which were

premieres. Among the latest products presented

by the exhibitors, a special highlight was the

Lagoon 52, a spectacular cruise catamaran with

flybridge, a large glazed interior living room with

360-degree views. Worthy of mention was also

the Minorchino 54 Fly, a new generation llaüt by

Sasga Yachts with two wheelhouses and classic

          interiors, meant for long sails.

Also outstanding was the Manhattan 55 by

Sunseeker, a sports cruise of almost 17 metres

in length compared by experts to a sea Rolls

Royce for its design, finish and equipment.

Another key feature was the sports cruise Princess
