International Trade Show of Gift and Home Articles

          Montjuïc. 49th and 50th event

The traditional Expohogar event, specialised in gift

and home articles, reaffirmed itself once more as

a reference in the trade fair calendar in both 2013

editions. In the spring event, the show met its

expectations in terms of number of exhibitors and

professional visitors interested in buying articles

distinguished by their functionality, their quality

          and their competitive prices.

The spring event exhibited a wide range of

products, featuring new styles that would be seen

on the streets months later. For instance, clutch

purses and bucket handbags in fluorescent and

neon colours were very successful, whereas,

in the domain of interior decorating, the vintage

style became the protagonist, as wells as all

          shades of colour blue.

The autumn event also exceeded expectations

by summoning a large number of gift, decoration

and fashion jewellery professionals in its 50th

anniversary, and provided the space for many

business transactions directed at the Christmas

campaign, the most important one for this

sector. With an offer of thousands of articles,

the event helped in reactivating sales and

strengthening the confidence of exhibitors and

visitors, which came from all over Catalonia

and nearby areas such as Valencia, Baleares and

          the south of France.

With the cooperation of the Catalan

          Confederation of Ornamental Horticulture,

the Catalan School of Floral Art, Smilax School,

Rosa Valls School, the Catalonia Florists

Guild, Mercabarna and the Vilassar Flower

and Ornamental Plant Market, the show

hosted several floral and window dressing

          showings. The company Celorama organised

          a gift-wrapping workshop.
