Second Hand Guaranteed Vehicles Trade Fair

Total record sales, 63% higher than in 2012.
That’s how Ocasión closed a successful event
which sold a total of 1,793 nearly new vehicles
–85% of the exhibited cars–, coming from Km0,
management, business fleets and renting.
Revenues exceeded 35 million euros.
Almost all the vehicles were three-years old or
less. Discounts and special conditions encouraged
one in every 16 visitors to purchase a car.
Sales went from mid-range utility cars, with
prices ranging from 10,000 and 15,000 euros,
and cars of German brands with prices around
25,000 euros. Some units from the premium
segment were also sold, as well as a few luxury
sports cars with prices above 70,000 euros.
All in all, depending on the model or the range,
the average saving rate compared to the same
new car was of 30%.
Ocasión also promoted many more operations
in the exhibitors’ stores on the following days.
Several exhibiting companies, all of them from
the Catalan Federation of Motor Vehicle Dealers
(FECAVEM), sold after the show more than
a hundred more vehicles, whose sale had been
agreed on the fair.
In the face of the current economic situation,
the second hand market has risen considerably
in our country; 2.2 used cars are sold for every
new vehicle. Buyers have left behind aesthetic
and emotional aspects, and give preference to
the price factor in their purchase decision, turning
more and more to the professional channel in
search of quality used cars, perfectly equipped,
guaranteed and affordable.
